I can sense that he would have ended up having issues. Honestly - I bet if you asked him to get you a drink, he's do it without hesitation. But it's an awkward question that you avoided with a hint - and he should have caught that. Kind of reminds me of some of the single-mindedness that the men in my family throw around (great guys - but this is one of their flaws).&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;I'm particularly impressed by the way you handled this since you are only 29. When I was in my 20s I tended to give people more chances that I should, based on the "what ifs" I could read into the situation.
